James HARRY, born about 1787 in Llantwit Major, Glamorgan, Wales, married Elizabeth OWEN, born about 1789 in Pendoylan, Glamorgan, on 4 March 1819 in Pendoylan.  Their daughter, Rebecca, married Philip FRANCIS 3 August 1850 in Cardiff, Glamorgan.  Philip, Rebecca, their daughter Margaret, and (we think) Rebecca's sister, Elizabeth, immigrated to the USA in 1851.  Elizabeth married Welsh immigrant, Thomas THOMAS, in Schuylkill County, PA, about 1853.  They had 3 sons.  Thomas THOMAS probably died before the 1860 census.  Elizabeth married a second time to William R. JAMES before 1863 in Schuylkill County, and they had 5 more children.  Philip FRANCIS died about August 1853 in Danville, Montour County, PA.  Rebecca moved to Schuylkill County with her 2 children where she married a second time about 1857 to Welsh immigrant, David P. JAMES.  They had 1 son.  Rebecca died 1860-1861 leaving Margaret and Philip with their step-father, David, as well as his own son, Thomas.  David  married a second time to Welsh immigrant, Elizabeth, a widow of David GRIFFITHS, with 3 sons.  The links to the outline descendant trees for Rebecca and Elizabeth are listed below along with links to family photographs.

Richard MEYRICK, born about 1822 in Wales, probably immigrated to the USA ca. 1848.  Richard is a mystery as outlined in my search for him, "Who Was Richard MEYRICK?" .  Margaret WILLIAMS, born 23 March 1835 in Wales, immigrated to the USA from Blaina, Aberystruth, Monmouthshire, with her parents and siblings 1842-1850.  Richard MEYRICK and Margaret WILLIAMS were probably married in Schuylkill County, PA, about 1852.  Their oldest child, Annie, married Philip FRANCIS (Jr.) in 1875.  Their 2nd child, Thomas, died in a coal mine accident 14 September 1888.  Richard & Margaret's  youngest 2 children died in infancy in 1865 and 1868.  Both of Margaret's parents died between 1860 and 1870.  Along with the hardiships of the Civil War, the years 1860-1870, must have been extremely difficult for Margaret.  She died in 1871 at age 35.  I have been unable to trace any of Margaret's 4 siblings:  Anna/Harriet, born about 1831; Thomas, born about 1837; Mary, born about 1839; and Eleanor "Ellen" born 19 August 1841 in Coalbrookvale, Monmouthshire, Wales.  Images of the family information from the MEYRICK family Bible and other MEYRICK memorabilia are included.
