52.  GREEN, Pharaoh C. "Chid", was born 22 July 1858 in TN.  He was the son of Richard GREEN and Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" WALLACE.  He married Hester E. "Hessie" LEACH 14 March 1886 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 3 children:  William Fletcher, born 17 March 1888; James Edward, born 6 December 1889; and, Charlie O., born 17 November 1894, died 29 November 1894.  Hester was the daughter of William LEACH and Mary Jane CHAPMAN.  In the 1920 census for Anderson County, TN, Hester was enumerated as a widow with the surname, FOUST.  Hester lost her husband and brothers, William Luther (#75) and J. Luke (#76) LEACH in the explosion.

53.  GREEN, James S., was born 7 December 1854 in TN.  He was the son of William G. "Bill" GREEN and Drucilla "Priscilla" DAVIS.  He was the brother of Richard J. W. GREEN (#54).  He married Nancy J. "Nannie" HAYS 30 November 1890 in Anderson County, TN.  They had; 5 children:  Raymond, born July 1891; Virgil, born March 1894; Ralph, born November 1896; William "Willie", born December 1897; and, Charles, born January 1900, all in TN.  Nancy was the daughter of Eli Marion HAYS and Sarah H. MASSENGILL.  Nancy lost her husband; brother-in-law, Richard J. W. GREEN (#54); and, first cousins, William W. HAYS (#71) and Nicholas William "Nicklas" MASSENGILL (#93), in the explosion.

54.  GREEN, Richard J. W., was born March 1857 in TN.  He was also a son of William G. "Bill" GREEN and Drucilla "Priscilla" DAVIS.  He was the brother of James S. GREEN (#53).  He married Matilda J. TAYLOR, who died between 1896 and1900.  They had 4 children:  Lela, born February 1885; Gertrude, born July 1886; Bessie, born June 189e2; and, Maude, born January 1896, all in TN.  Matilda was the daughter of Noah TAYLOR and Laura Alice J. RAINES.

55.  GOODMAN, William B., was born 22 July 1866 in TN.  He was a widowed father in the 1910 census for Anderson County, TN, with his widowed mother and his daughter, Clara D., born May 1891 in TN.  He is possibly the William B. GOODMAN, age 14, son of William H. and Rebecca GOODMAN, who were in the 1880 census for Blount County, TN.

56.  GROSS, William F., was born 10 April 1877 in TN.  He was the son of Amon GROSS and Elizabeth "Bettie" COOPER.  He married Hannah SUTTLES 22 November 1896 in Campbell County, TN.  They had 2 children:  Lillie Donna, born September 1897, and Bertha A., born December 1899, both in TN.  Hannah married John Elex WILSON 18 September 1903 in Campbell County, TN.  They had 2 children:  Toy "Roy", born 1905, and Luther, born 7 October 1907, both in TN.  Hannah was the sister of Ida Ruth (Suttles) COOPER (see #32).

57.  GOANS, F. Oscar, was born 8 April 1878 in TN.  He was the son of Abraham Thomas GOANS and Mary Frances "Frankie" DINKINS.  He was the brother of William R. GOANS (#58).  He married Della I. "Eliza" MARTIN 23 January 1899 in Anderson County, TN.  Della was the daughter of Isaac Thomas "Tom" MARTIN and Martha J. "Mattie" RHEA.  Della married William M. "Billy" REDDEN 21 April 1928 in Anderson County, TN.  Della died 10 May 1934 in Lake City, TN.

58.  GOANS, William R., was born 23 November 1872 in TN.  He was also a son of Abraham Thomas GOANS and Mary Frances "Frankie" DINKINS.  He was the brother of F. Oscar GOANS (#57).  He married Minnie G. O'DELL 22 January 1896 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 1 child: Beatrice, born December 1896 in TN.  Minnie was the daughter of Caleb Rankin "Creed" O'DELL and Martha BULLOCK.  Minnie married Carl H. K. PAGE 24 April 1910 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 2 children:  Everett R., born 1913; and, Ralph O., born 1916, both in TN.  Minnie lost her husband and brother, David P. O'DELL (#96), in the explosion.

59.  HIGHTOWER, Barksdale D. "Bart", was born January 1876 in TN.  He was the son of Leander "Lee" HIGHTOWER and Susan A. BRANSCOM.  He was the 1st cousin of James P. HIGHTOWER (#60).  He married Bertha Lou PEMBERTON 12 December 1897 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 2 children:  Bessie Orlena "Dessie", born May 1898; and, Dorsey L., born 5 February 1900, both in TN.  Bertha married William Lorn DAY 6 December 1903 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 1 child, Evelyn, born 15 January 1905 in TN.

60.  HIGHTOWER, James P., was born 15 April 1882 in TN.  He was the son of Tipton "Tip" HIGHTOWER and Lydia E. "Liddy" CARSON.  He was the 1st cousin of Barksdale D. "Bart" HIGHTOWER (#59).  He married Lucy WALLACE 21 August 1898 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 1 child, Cecil, born 1901 in TN.  Lucy was the daughter of Robert WALLACE and Sarah E. SHARP.  Lucy married William Samuel "Sam" LEWALLEN 14 October 1903 in Anderson County, TN.  They had 4 children:  Hershel Gordon, born 28 February 1906; Agnes Emma, born 23 October 1908; Earl Thomas, born 26 April 1911, all in TN; and, Freida Naomi, born 5 April 1917 in WV.   Lucy lost her husband and 2 brothers:  William Henry (#169) and James H. (#170) WALLACE, in the explosion.

61.  HARMON, Powell, was born 10 May 1853 in TN.  He was the son of Hiram HARMON and Rebecca "Becky" ROACH.  He married Josephine "Josie" SHARP 5 March 1886 in Campbell County, TN.  They had 8 children:  William Conda, born 28 February 1887 (who was later killed in the Cross Mountain mine explosion); Henry Preston, born 30 September 1888; Ida, born March 1890; Elizabeth "Lizzie", born 7 June 1891; Myrtle, born 1895; Jacob James "Jake", born 27 December 1897; Silas Malone, born 28 January 1900; and Alice, born 1902, all in TN.  Josephine was the daughter of Nellie SHARP, who married Peter COOPER 23 January 1869 in Campbell County, TN.  Josephine married Silas SHARP 1 October 1904 in Campbell County, TN.  They had 1 child, Charley, born 1908 in TN.

62.  HENDREN, John D., was born 27 May 1880 in TN.  He was the son of David Francis Marion HENDREN and Mary Jane SHINLIVER.  He was a 2nd cousin, once removed, of Thomas W. HENDREN (#63).  He married Minnie Sallie HENDREN 18 September 1898 in Anderson County, TN.  They had no children.  Minnie was the daughter of James Jefferson "Jeff" HENDREN and Nancy Evans Tate "Nannie" HENDERSON.  Minnie was the sister of Thomas W. HENDREN (#63) and a 2nd cousin, once removed of her husband.  Minnie married Lemuel Lundsford BILBREY 2 September 1908 in Anderson County, TN.  They had no children.  The family was in the 1920 census for Roane County, TN.

63.  HENDREN, Thomas W., was born 13 February 1877 in TN.  He was the son of James Jefferson "Jeff" HENDREN and Nancy Evans Tate "Nannie" HENDERSON.  He was a second cousin, once removed, of John D. HENDREN (#62).  He was unmarried.
